After a bit of a roller coaster few weeks we are very pleased to announce that along with the compose David Sawer, the group has been one of 20 projects to be chosen to take part in the PRS for Music’s first UK New Music Biennial.
Our project is to take David’s new composition ‘Bronze and Iron’ the length and breadth of the country throughout 2014 and bring new music out of the concert hall and into historic bandstands, festivals and public spaces of Britain. The ‘Tour de Brass!’ will also stop off at London’s Southbank Centre, Glasgow’s City of Music, we will perform on BBC Radio 3 and be recorded for digital download by NMC Recordings. We feel privileged to have been chosen as one of the inaugural awards of this exciting venture along with some very esteemed musicians and look forward to working with David. Also we would like to thank the judges and partners for allowing our Tour de Brass! project to get off to such an excellent start.
