Two visits in a week to New Romney for the JAM on the Marsh Festival 2016 and they couldn’t be more different. Thursday 7th July and we open the festival with a concert in The Engine Shed, New Romney Station, home to the Romney, Hythe and Dymchurch Railway. Surrounded by the engines and coaches of the narrow gauge railway we have a programme of light classics, songs from the shows and a 007 medley to set things on their way.
Then 2pm Monday 11th at the Marsh Academy its the culmination of our work with the Shepway Brass Academy for the premiere performance in its new version of Timothy Jackson’s Opening Night. Alongside the massed choirs from the various schools of the Romney Marsh and led by Ula Weber, this promises to be a fantastic occasion for everyone involved, guaranteed to bring smiles to all.
