A great day was had by all in Bradford on 7th July for our World Premiere performance of Ailís Ní Ríain’s Holocene alongside the formidable Hammonds Band. The piece formed part of the wider New Music Biennial Weekender, allowing audiences a chance to see all twenty commissions that are part of this years New Music Biennial over the course of the 2 days
Presenting the piece at the Cathedral, audience members were able to experience her vision of the world 11,000 years ago in an immersive setting by being free to move around the space.
Recorded for later transmission by BBC Radio 3, listeners will too be able to experience it in surround sound. Look out for special single being being produced by NMC Recordings in the coming month.
